Comfortable height
A bench at the right height saves your back and improves accuracy.
Custom workbenches, tool drawers, power and task light, built to the right height and the right strength for the work you do.

A workbench is a tool in itself. It needs to be the right height for your body, strong enough for a vise or a hammer and large enough for the job. Standing at a bench that is too low or too wobbly is the surest way to stop using one.
We build workspaces around the way you work: a hardwood or steel top for heavy tasks, a laminate or butcher block top for general use, drawers sized for hand and power tools, a vise, outlets at hand and task light directly overhead. The bench connects to your tool wall and cabinets so everything is within reach.
The steps for workbench & workspace builds, in the order they happen.
Woodworking, mechanics, crafts and general repair all need different benches.
Height, depth and length are set to your body and the space, with room for movement.
A top material and a frame or cabinet base are chosen for strength, finish and storage.
Outlets, task lights and a vise or accessories are fitted and tested.
A bench at the right height saves your back and improves accuracy.
A rigid frame and anchored base take hammering, clamping and vise loads.
Drawers, outlets, a tool wall and light turn the bench into a station.
The right top material wipes off oil, glue and finish.
A common range is about 34 to 38 inches, with mechanics often a bit lower and detail work a bit higher. We tune it to the people who will use it.
Mobile benches suit flexible garages, and locking casters keep them stable during use. Heavy work prefers a fixed bench.
Yes. Benches intended for a vise get a reinforced top and are anchored or weighted for stability.
