01 Coated floors
A coated floor cleans easily. Dust mop or blow off the surface regularly and wet mop with a mild neutral cleaner and a soft pad. Rinse and dry to avoid streaks. Wipe oil and chemical spills quickly.
Avoid strong solvents and abrasive pads that can dull the finish.
02 Polished concrete
Dust mop regularly, since grit can scratch a polished surface. Use a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft pad. Re-sealing every so often keeps stain protection. Wipe acidic spills such as vinegar or battery acid right away.
Walk-off mats at doors reduce grit.
03 Tiles and mats
Sweep or blow out dirt and rinse with a hose, lifting the edges where needed. A mild cleaner removes oil film. Tiles can be removed to clean the slab beneath if spills get through the seams.
Check the slab occasionally for moisture.
04 Prevent problems
Use a squeegee to move meltwater out the door in winter. Place mats at entries to catch salt and grit. Keep cars from dripping with drip trays, and fix leaks early.
Do not drag heavy items, and use felt pads under legs.
